Irini Matsouka

Irini Matsouka is one of the co-founders of RESOLVE MEDIATORS along with Spyros Antonelos and Eleni Plessa and has been a partner since 2014.

She is an Attorney at Law, a member of the Athens Bar Association since 2002, a CIArb Accredited Mediator since 2011, and one of the first to be included in the Hellenic Ministry of Justice Public List of Mediators. She is also a Trainer in Mediation. She holds a law degree from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, an LLM in Criminal Law from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and an MSc in “Business for Lawyers” (Hons) from ALBA Graduate Business School

Experience in Mediation

Eirini is a very experienced Mediator. She has participated in Mediations in the United Kingdom since 2012 and in Greece since 2013. Since then, she has participated as a Mediator in numerous Mediations related to labor, commercial and private law, while at the same time, she has held a large number of Initial Mandatory Mediation Sessions in all legal subjects regarding Civil and Commercial Law. From 2019-2023 she was a Consultant in the Mediation Center of Athens Chamber of Small & Medium Industries (ACSMI).

Experience in Training

Eirini has significant experience as a Mediators’ Trainer. She participated in the establishment of “Prometheus”, the Athens Bar Association Mediators Training Center. Since 2014, she has participated as a Mediators Trainer in its training programme until 2015. Along with Spyros Antonelos and Eleni Plessa, they co-created the first and sole until today 20-hour Mediation Advocacy Training Programme in which they have trained hundreds of lawyers so far in collaboration with the Athens Bar Association, Prometheus and Sakkoulas Publications S.A. She has also co created with her Resolve partners a School Mediation Training Program and a Workplace Mediation Program.

Since 2012, she has repeatedly co-presented Mediation Seminars, along with Spyros Antonelos and Eleni Plessa, the three-hour ‘Introductory Seminars on Mediation’, along with Spyros Antonelos, at the Athens Bar Association and the Law School of the Democritus University of Thrace and has participated in Mock Mediations in the Athens Bar Association and other Bar Associations in Greece. She has been participating in the International Mediation Competitions of ICC (International Chamber of Commerce) since 2021.

Experience as a lawyer

Eirini Matsouka has been practicing law since 2002 and is a co-founder of the law firm Papanicolaou, Tsimpourakis, Plessa, Matsouka & Associates. She specializes in labor law, commercial/insolvency law and generally in civil law. She has a great judicial experience and experience in negotiations regarding the conclusion of collective labor agreements. Her working languages are Greek, English and Spanish.
